The AYTTO New England Scholastic Table Tennis League Preliminary Round, held (November 9th, 2025) at Malden High School, MA, was a lively celebration of youth sportsmanship and community spirit. Organized by Jasper Wong of AYTTO and run with the assistance of coaches Nelson Chin and Po Chan, the tournament brought together a total of 20 school teams that filled the gym with energy and excitement. Students representing schools across the region — including Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, Arlington High School, Gann Academy, John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics and Science, John Glenn Middle School, Lexington High School, Malden High School, North Quincy High School, North Reading High School, North Reading Middle School, Springfield Renaissance School, Westford Academy, Westwood High School, and Winchester High School — came together to compete and connect. The atmosphere was electric as first-time participants experienced the thrill of representing their schools, while returning players rekindled friendly rivalries and strengthened bonds. Beyond the rallies and scores, the event stood out for the friendships, teamwork, and lasting memories forged at the tables — a true reflection of AYTTO’s mission to build character and community through table tennis.
AYTTO extends its heartfelt thanks to Malden High School and the City of Malden for generously offering to host the tournament once again, providing a welcoming venue for students to showcase their passion and sportsmanship. With spirits high and momentum building, teams are already looking forward to the upcoming playoff round, scheduled for March 8th, 2026, where they’ll once again test their skills and camaraderie on the big stage.
